Enhancing the wellbeing of our people, animals and planet.
A modern approach to sustainable farming. We combine local community values, compassionate stock management, and active ecosystem guardianship.
A Natural Connection
At Waikirikiri Farm, we operate under the understanding that the soil, pasture, cattle, and people form a single interconnected ecosystem. By protecting soil chemistry and grazing pathways, we produce premium nourishment while keeping carbon locked in the ground.
We look after our waterways, restore native plants to riparian zones, and provide our herd with spacious, stress-free, 100% grass pastures year-round.
Working With Nature, Not Against It
Our People
Farming starts with community. We nurture a welcoming and safe environment where our team is empowered to manage and safeguard this beautiful property.
Our Animals
We practice low-stress rotational grazing. Cows are free-range year-round, feeding on high-diversity pastures that support their natural health and biological needs.
Our Planet
We protect local waterways and soil structures. Riparian planting buffers stream banks, filters nutrients, and invites native birds back to our lands.
Grass-Based Systems
We use an intensive rotational grazing system. The herd moves to a fresh strip of high-diversity pasture daily, allowing grazed paddocks 30–60 days to recover and build deep carbon-capturing root networks.
This natural feeding cycle produces trace-element-dense nutrition while preventing soil erosion and chemical dependency.
The Waikirikiri Impact
By integrating ecological science with traditional farming practices, we support the health and vitality of our soil, animals, and planet.
